What’s gold filled?

Gold filled is an American standard in which the thickness of the gold must be at least 1/20th or 5% of the total weight.

In a strictly controlled process, 14 karat gold is mechanically bonded to a base metal (usually copper) by heat and pressure.

It is therefore an alloy and not a layer that easily wears off.

With the right care, gold filled jewelry will last just as long as real gold jewelry.

These materials make the jewelry 100% hypoallergenic and free of nickel and lead.
